Fuglar i lyrikken (birds in poetry)

In the autumn of 2021, the exhibition Fuglar i lyrikken (Birds in poetry) was on display in the University Library at the University of Stavanger. The exhibition gave a taste of the variety of poetry in Norwegian about birds. This included poems for children, lyrics from songs, and poems about the effects of human activity on bird populations. While only able to give a taster of the poetry that exists, the exhibition highlighted the range of different ways of engaging with birds. The exhibition was produced by the Nynorsk Culture Centre (Nynorsk kultursentrum) and was first displayed at the Kielland Centre in the Sølvberget Library and Culture Centre, Stavanger.
